Dr. Sathyan Krishnan is a highly experienced Cataract and Glaucoma Surgeon with over 35 years in ophthalmic care. He graduated in the early 1990s from PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Coimbatore, India. He later earned a Diploma in Ophthalmology and a Diplomate of the National Board (DNB) in Ophthalmology from Aravind Eye Hospital, one of India’s leading eye care institutions.

He completed a fellowship in Glaucoma at Aravind Eye Hospital in Madurai, where he developed advanced surgical skills and clinical expertise. In 2003, Dr. Sathyan pursued further training in the United States at prestigious institutions such as Bascom Palmer Eye Institute (Miami), Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute (Baltimore), and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Upon returning to India, he held several leadership roles at Aravind Eye Hospital and served as Chief of Glaucoma Services for 15 years. Over his career, he has performed more than 75,000 cataract, glaucoma, and related surgeries with outstanding outcomes.

As a visiting consultant at Al Arrayed Eye Center, Dr. Sathyan brings world-class precision and care to patients in the Kingdom of Bahrain, with a focus on complex cataract and glaucoma management.
